Prescribed Fire Forum & Optional Field Tour: Columbus

Join us to explore the role prescribed fire, a carefully planned and executed practice, plays in maintaining the health, vitality, and biodiversity of our Hoosier oak-hickory and grassland ecosystems. Come with questions and engage with experts who will share their knowledge, experiences, and passion for this long-standing stewardship practice.

Whether you’re a forest landowner, conservationist, or nature enthusiast, these events offer an opportunity to explore the intricate nature of prescribed fire as a stewardship practice.

Join us for dinner and a casual social event (April 18 at Upland Brewery Columbus) with dinner and social. Hear from experts and ask questions about the use of prescribed fire to steward Indiana’s ecosystems. An alternate event is available on April 11 at Upland Brewing in Bloomington.

Also attend the optional Griffy Lake Field Tour April 13 at 9 AM-11 AM, 3400 N Headly Rd, Bloomington. See the results of a recent
prescribed fire and chat with experts.
