Fridays in the Forest: Urban Tree Pruning

In class and field instruction on proper pruning. Participants will be a bit more cautious and a lot more confident when removing branches from their trees. Instructors will cover the different types of pruning, reasons to prune, pruning dosage and tree response to pruning. In class session will be followed by field demonstrations and hands on opportunities to use proper pruning tools to structurally prune young trees under the supervision of trained arborists. This lecture will help participants visually identify a good pruning job, how to prune young trees, and how to insure that pruning work they hire will be done professionally.
