Fridays in the Forest: Forest Archaeology

September 13 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The archaeological record indicates that humans have populated this region for more than 10,000 years. Join Division of Forestry Archaeologist AJ Ariens for this session that will look at prehistoric and historic cultures in Indiana and how we locate and interpret these cultural resources. We will meet at the Horse Campground at Owen-Putnam State Forest. The presentation will be followed by a hike to a nearby archaeological site. Wear comfortable shoes for hiking.
