Forestry Field Day, Starke County

The morning session will cover some basics of forest management, economics of forest management, and invasive species. Morning will be at the Knox library. Lunch will be provided (bring $5 for lunch). In the afternoon, we will tour the Starke County Forest(10655 E Division Rd, Knox, IN 46534). We will look at different management practices in planted and natural forests. We will also be able to see testing for resistance in American chestnut, wetlands, and wildflowers. See the flyer.
