Fall Bird Walk: Brown County

Join Allisyn Gillet, State Ornithologist, and Judi Brown, Coordinator of Let the Sun Shine In Indiana, for a guided morning bird walk. Allisyn will provide birdwatching tips and information about the birds that are heard and spotted during the walk. The Hitz Rhodehamel Woods, owned by The Nature Conservancy, is a large high-quality forest. This preserve features chestnut oak forests on its dry ridges and white oak forests in the steep ravines.

Attendees should plan for the walk to be on a moderately rugged path with steep inclines in this actively managed forest. Please bring binoculars, wear sturdy shoes and clothing to protect from ticks and other biting insects. Insect repellent and water will be provided.
