Since 1986 NWOA has ranked the top ten family forestry issues in the United States through an annual vote by the leaders of the 42 state affiliates (including IFWOA). Their polling for the 2021 suggests little change from 2020. The ten issues separate into concerns: Markets, Invasives, Taxes, Right-to-Practice Forestry and Keeping Forests as Forests. There are five programmatic priorities Extension & Service Forestry, Wildfire, Cost Incentives, Water Quality, and Certification. This year’s offering includes an outlook of the Top Ten Priorities for 2021.
