The Indiana Forestry and Woodland Owners Association (IFWOA) is a nonprofit organization with the goal of promoting good stewardship of Indiana woodlands. Today, IFWOA has more than 650 members representing 125,000 acres of forests. IFWOA is an affiliate of the National Woodland Owners Association.
Plan on joining us November 6-7 in Dubois County for the annual woodland owner conference sponsored by IFWOA. Friday’s program is an Invasive Species Workshop in Dubois with an evening dessert reception and presentation at the Jasper Inn. Saturday’s program will include several concurrent sessions on topics of interest to woodland owners.
The Charles Deam Forest Stewardship award recognizes Indiana woodland owners who have demonstrated exceptional management of their woodlands. This year anyone can nominate an Indiana landowner for this award. Finalists will be recognized at the 2015 Awards banquet November 7. Nominations are now closed.
